UNDERSTANDING YOUR SYMPTOMS

What are the symptoms of Long COVID?

Long COVID is a chronic condition that follows a SARS-CoV-2 infection and is present for at least three months. It can affect multiple body systems, with symptoms that improve, worsen, or return over time. Fatigue, thinking difficulties, and worsening after effort are among the possible experiences. The effects on everyday life differ widely between people.

Persistent fatigue

Low energy or exhaustion may interfere with work, home life, and daily routines.

Brain fog

Remembering, concentrating, or following a conversation may take more effort.

Worsening after effort

Physical or mental activity may be followed by a worsening of symptoms.

Breathing changes

Shortness of breath or an ongoing cough may occur after the initial illness.

Palpitations or dizziness

Some people notice a racing heartbeat or lightheadedness when they stand.

Sleep difficulties

Trouble sleeping may add another layer to changes in energy and concentration.

Symptoms can have more than one cause, and experiences vary. A symptom list cannot tell you whether you have Long COVID. A healthcare professional can assess your symptoms and decide which tests or follow-up are appropriate.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY, TOGETHER

Less to remember. More to talk about.

A symptom journal gives the day-to-day details of life with Long COVID a place to go. With Jetty, you can talk or type about your symptoms and daily life while they’re still fresh.

Jetty keeps your health notes organized over time, helping you look back on changes and prepare the symptom history and questions you want to bring to your next appointment.

What to put in your symptom journal

Capture changes in energy, thinking, breathing, and symptoms after effort, including any delay. Note how long changes last and what they interrupt, without needing to label every experience yourself.

Keep your infection timeline, better and harder days, sleep, and changes discussed with your care team together. Jetty helps turn scattered observations into a clearer account for your next appointment.

Questions you might bring: How should we evaluate these changing symptoms after COVID? Could the delayed worsening I have recorded be post-exertional malaise, and how should that inform my care plan?
